Industry Certification Marketing Education Industry Certification is a program endorsed and sponsored by the Atlanta American Marketing Assocation. Programs that achieve Industry Certification receive federal grant money to be used in their marketing education programs. For a list of the standards, please go to the below link and click on Marketing Industry Certification Standards A*S*K Credentialing A*S*K certification is a critical tool for serious students of business who wish to document their understanding of key business skills, their willingness to be accountable for their learning, and their interest in positioning for employment and promotion. A*S*K Credentialing is open for all marketing education programs that are industry certified. Students take a test, interview with business executives and share a sample of their student work. Portfolio Specs : The portfolio is simply a representation of what work students have done in their marketing classes and a standard resume. This should should be in a standard 3-ring binder/folio with the resume as the top sheet. Interviews : will be brief and based on the type of information exchange that would be expected for job application to a major company at an entry-level position. Students are expected to be able to present themselves and their accomplishments in DECA effectively. Registration: Once a student is registered the school must pay for that test ... SO we will continue to offer to register students onsite with e-mail addresses and mailing information. To expedite matters If you are sure which students will participate from your school you may forward the data and I will pre-register them for you, but all information must in by the deadlines listed above. Cost is $25 per student and all checks should be made to GMEA. Payment must be made at the time that the student is tested or sent in advance with registration data.
